Lun Eugene
Eugene Lun (b. 1998) graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts (2021) and was awarded the HKOP Award in Printmaking (2021). His practice aims to open up the playful and bizarre sides of people through creations inspired by pop culture and daily life issues.
Eugene Lun's creative practice investigates the invisible boundaries in daily life; the unspoken rules put forward by the pressures of social conventions and norms which aims to challenge not only the conventional etiquettes of gallery-visiting but the traditional modes of artmaking as well. After graduation, he continues to explore the use of the latest technology such as Augmented Reality (AR) and its integration with printmaking and painting, in order to provide a more comprehensive representation to the static graphics.
