Mak Ying Tung 2
Mak Ying Tung 2 (b.1989) is a Hong Kong-based conceptual artist.
Mak 2’s work is not defined by any medium and is often referred to as “fun and crazy.” The aesthetic experience Mak 2 crafts is bound by the dualism of humour and intense, often dark inquisitiveness. Her recent works contemplate contemporary issues through the study of Humanities. Her current projects include “#prettyartist #uglymaleart”, an Instagram series that documents selfies of herself with artworks by famous male artists she deems ugly, to address aspects of the artist’s experience as a female artist.
